Sustainability

We don’t have this all figured out.

We’re a small brand without a sustainability department. Here’s what we actually do, and where we’re still working it out.

Fewer Products, On Purpose

A six-item catalog produces less waste than a sixty-item one that half sells through. That's not a policy, it's just math.

Packaging We're Still Improving

We haven't solved this yet. Every box we ship is one we're actively trying to shrink or simplify.

No Green Claims We Can't Back Up

If we can't point to what a claim actually means, we don't make it. "Eco-friendly" without specifics is a marketing word, not a fact.

Growing Responsibly

The biggest lever is ordering less.

Most of the environmental cost of a beauty product happens before it reaches you — in how much gets made and how much of that ends up unsold. We produce in small runs, which means sometimes we sell out, and that’s a trade we’re fine with.

We’re working through our packaging supplier by supplier, looking at what can be reduced or swapped without the product arriving damaged. It’s slower than doing it all at once, but it’s real.

We’d rather make something you use until it’s empty than something that looks good in a photo and sits in a drawer.

Looking Forward

Ask us how we’re doing.

This page will change as we get better at this. If you want specifics on a particular product or its packaging, email us — we’ll give you a straight answer, even when it’s “not yet.”
